Changing your system password

To ensure our IT systems are secure from external cyber attacks it is important to have a strong password policy in place.

Our Password Policy requires you to change your Windows password every 24 months, however you can do this at any time if you feel your password may have been compromised.

This topic will take you through how to change your Windows password.

TO CHANGE YOUR PASSWORD

If you are currently logged in to your PRP Windows computer:

Hit Ctrl + Alt + Del on your keyboard and select Change a Password.
Enter your chosen password and re-type to confirm this.

If you have no access to your PRP Windows computer:

Open browser on another device and go to https://mysignins.microsoft.com/security-info/password/change
Enter your chosen password and re-type to confirm this.
note: for this to work you will be required to complete a multi-factor authentication request; if this can't be done then please ask Support for assistance.
